Beginning with the Wadsworth Trail along Willis Road, the plans for the west side of Spartanburg currently include a connection between Willis Road and Oak Grove Road, and will expand to include a network of connected trails, sidewalks, greenways, and parks with the intention of creating a complete loop around the area.
The next Phase to be implemented is the Wadsworth Trail Phase 5 (Anderson Mill Road Section 1) which is shown on the map as the dark green dotted line. This will add another 2/3 of a mile to the trail.
We are proud of the work to date, which includes approximately 3 miles of trail. Phase 5 of the trail will connect multiple neighborhoods of varying economic range to:
- Church
- Fitness center
- Future restored historic Anderson Mill and park
- Library
- Services
- Shopping
- Two schools
